Above is a picture of an actual Pioneer Village patch. On it are are some of the buildings that were built as a back drop for the movie The Molly Maguires. The property's former owner Carroll Stahl built a full scale train attraction featuring full sized trains, food, and other entertainment in the 1950's, known as Carroll Park & Western Railroad. Eventually the railroad shut down and Carroll retired. The components of the railroad were dispirsed throughout the US. After the railroad closed, he lived in a small house on the property with his wife. After his passing, the late Harry Meyers purchased the property and turned it into a very popular flea market in the early 1980's. It was then purchased by Ted Birk in 1997 to be the new location of his computer business Tower Micro . The 8,000 sq/ft retail store currently operates on the property. The flea market continued to operate for over 20 years until it's final season in 2003.
Currently the structures (which were originally only built for show with foundations made out of railroad ties) are being dismantled and much of the lumber and other materials are being used by local farmers to build two houses. One of the couples is from Lent's Organics.

The trains and other items from the property's past are located throughout the US, some of the smaller memorabila is still owned by the current property owner. The water tower & train station will remain on the property as they are structures that will last many years to come! Visit our Gallery for updated images and information!
